Max particularly enjoys depicting fascinating and graceful warrior women, and they are one of the distinctive features of his art, together with his far alien landscapes, all of them represented with a deep consideration for contrast and chiaroscuro. He has been drawing since 1993 the comic book "Nathan Never", the most famous and best selling science-fiction series in Italy for Sergio Bonelli Editore, which sells 70,000 issues every month. It is published in the US by Dark Horse. Max is also one of the cover artists of Eura Editoriale (the weekly publications "Lanciostory" and "Skorpio") and Mondadori ("I Gialli", "I Romanzi") the main italian publishing house. He has also produced cover and content art for Random House Germany, Solid Books, Lucretia Records and Il Riccio Editore, among others. Following a career of more than 10 years at the pinnacle of fantasy illustration, Max has been invited to teach Cartoon and illustration at Milan's prestigious 'Accademia dello Spettacolo'. His fantasy and sci-fi covers have also been published in France, Germany and Russia, and America.In the US, Max regularly contributes work Baen Books, Del Rey, Fantasy & Science Fiction and Heavy Metal Magazine variety His work is gradually shifting towards digital illustration.
