Beschreibung

Robert Johnson's voice resonates like a wise old teacher sharing his simple, worldly wisdom. He speaks about the natural world, the preciousness of life, and about innocence, but also about injustice, loss, human frailties, and the menace of terrorism, withholding nothing. Like Johnson's poetry, Virginia's Northern Neck and the rivers that run through it are abundant with a primitive, yet refined beauty, and being there inspires quiet comfort. More than any other state of mind, this contentedness defines Sunset Sonata. In spite of global threats, cynicism, loss, and the uncertainty and brevity of life, one can find nourishment and be restored by the words of poets like Robert Johnson who can find beauty and hope in the world.

Autor

This is a self help book designed to help the reader work their way through the book of Revelation, in the bible, a day at a time. It is a major part of a series of books that cover the entire 66 books of the bible as we know it and as such, should be considered as a daily devotional. The idea is simple; read chapter one of Revelation and use this book to pray through the issues contained therein. Then continue in the same vein. Thus, you will have read your bible more, thought your own thoughts and then maybe, seen someone else's thoughts on the matter as well. But do not complain if some of these thoughts do not sit with your theological thinking. These are purely my thoughts and in no way reflect a denominational way of thinking. I may be a Methodist preacher, but in the end, have seen many different churches and denominational thinking, so my views are more universal than one singular church. Be blessed as you read this book and if it helps you in one small way, then it has done its job. Robert JohnsonPremier Publications
